Who: Brian "Beej" Hall and Gable Brown
What: Tools to programmatically generate documents
Detail: Beej and Gable share some of the tooling they are using to generate documents, including their resumes. Beej dusts off an ancient and at times reviled language called XSL. Gable will share his favorite tool for this: Typst.
About the speakers:
- Brian "Beej" Hall, computer science instructor at Oregon State University-Cascades and hack-of-all-trades.
- Gable, a Senior Software Engineer at Mindblazer, primarily writes backend code and trains ML models. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, country/west coast swing dancing, triviaing, and sleeping, which should definitely be a higher priority.
